Golriz Rezvani Art

Golriz is an Iranian-Canadian artist who is currently living and working on the unceded territories of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem First Nation). Art to me is the strongest communication dialect. Among all artists, I’ve been always amazed by expressionists.I like narrative images and subjects where human plays the main role. In creating my artworks, I get inspired by poetry, photography and movies. Also, criticizing the society is one of my favourite subjects. Whether it’s an un-equality for a specific gender or inelegance. I believe the reality is the true beauty, even if it’s dark. Experimenting with different materials and techniques is another interest of mine. It allows me to explore outside my comfort zone without compromising my ability to create.
